Trophy Charters fishes the Port Clinton, Ohio area in the western basin of Lake Erie all of April and May. We offer a very comfortable and fast 30 ft. Cherokee Sport Fisherman Walleye fishing vessel. In April we primarily drift and jig for these Walleye with light tackle. Fishing for Walleyes and jigging this time of year is my specialty. Some of the biggest Walleyes ever caught aboard "The Trophy" have come in April! In May we mix it up with some trolling or casting, depending on conditions and what is working best. The weather is getting nice and the action is fast! We have the best equipment and bait, ice, rods and tackle is all provided for your Lake Erie fishing charter.

Ashtabula, Ohio is located in the central basin of lake Erie where the bulk of the Walleyes move to in the summer months to seek the cooler, deeper water that is loaded with bait fish. Trophy Charters moves its Lake Erie fishing charter to its home port here in early June.
